A Sisterhood of Support: National Domestic Violence Rally & Walkathon
On October 2, 2026, survivors, advocates, families, and community partners came together in Washington, D.C., for the National Domestic Violence Rally & Walkathon to the U.S. Capitol. Together, we raised our voices for safety, dignity, and meaningful support for those affected by domestic violence.
FFT Helping Others is proud to stand alongside our sister organization, the National Domestic Violence Rally & Walkathon, founded by Cynthya Pagán Hale. This gathering reflected a powerful spirit of sisterhood and solidarity—a reminder that no survivor should have to navigate the journey toward safety and healing alone.
Our message extends to every survivor, including individuals with disabilities, military-connected families, and those whose experiences are too often overlooked. Support must be accessible, compassionate, and responsive to each person’s needs.
To every speaker, volunteer, participating organization, and supporter: thank you. Your presence, time, and care helped create space for survivor voices and strengthen connections across our community.
The work continues beyond Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We invite you to volunteer, partner with us, and help turn awareness into practical support for survivors and families.
